High Commissioner Anne Eastwood was unanimously re-elected and will continue to occupy one of the three seats for the Europe region on the Francophone network’s Board of Directors.
The General Assembly of the Association des Ombudsmans et Médiateurs de la Francophonie (AOMF, Association of Mediators and Ombudsmen of La Francophonie) was held on 25 November to re-elect the network’s governing bodies. Given the current international travel restrictions, the event was held online.
Following a three-year term on the Board of Directors from 2018 to 2021 under the Presidency of the Mediator of the Kingdom of Morocco, High Commissioner Anne Eastwood was unanimously re-elected and will continue to occupy one of the three seats for the Europe region on the Francophone network’s Board of Directors.
This re-election will enable the Monegasque institution to remain actively involved in shaping the work of this network over the coming years. The network is a particularly promising forum for the Principality following the highly acclaimed holding of a major Francophone meeting about protecting the rights of future generations in Monaco in July.
The new President of the AOMF is Marie Rinfret, the Quebec Ombudsperson, as the rotating presidency returns to the America and Antilles region until November 2024.
