As he continues the process of assuming his duties, H.E. the Minister of State Mr Serge TELLE paid a visit to the High Commissioner for the Protection of Rights, Liberties and for Mediation on 7 April.
This friendly meeting was an opportunity for the High Commissioner, Anne Eastwood, to present to H.E. Mr TELLE the environment in which the High Commissioner and her teams carry out their work and to review the role the institution has played over the last two years in reaching consensual settlements of disputes and improving the link between the Government and users of Monegasque public services.
During his visit, H.E. Mr TELLE was keen to reiterate the importance that the Prince’s Government attaches to the proper functioning of this tool to protect human rights and offer mediation services. The office of the High Commissioner was established at the behest of H.S.H. Prince Albert II in March 2014, for the benefit of citizens of the Principality. On a personal level, the Minister said that he was convinced of the value of this tool and committed to the pursuit of effective and transparent collaboration with this process by government departments, in order to deal as fairly as possible with individual cases and thereby contribute to the goal of excellence in public services in Monaco.
