On the occasion of the International Women's Day, the “Association des Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises de Monaco” (AFCEM) and the SheCanHeCan Association organised the second edition of the GIRLBOSS event.
This "speed-mentoring" was an opportunity for some sixty young female students aged 12 to 18 from the Principality to meet active women in high-level management positions in the private and public sectors in Monaco, including the High Commissioner, Marina Ceyssac.
The aim was to guide these young girls who are wondering about their future and the place of women in positions of influence, particularly in the Principality.
The professional orientation of young male and female students takes shape in secondary school and becomes a reality in high school, without gender differentiation. Nevertheless, women are still under-represented in leadership roles, whether in the private or public sector. Through this initiative, the girls had the opportunity to meet around forty women with careers and experiences that were as different as they were enriching, and who all have important responsibilities in common. Discussing with them gave them a better understanding of the role and importance of women in the professional world.
