To mark International Women’s Day, the High Commission took part in “PowHer”, an initiative organised by the Monaco Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights, which promotes current and future actions taken by stakeholders in the Principality.
The Committee’s various partner organisations and associations were invited to the event at the Espace Léo Ferré, where they manned stands, gave lectures, and led round tables and interactive workshops. A range of activities highlighted the cause of women, with an emphasis on four themes: education, health, sport, and employment.
A day earlier, the High Commissioner Marina Ceyssac had been invited by the Minister of State to attend a lunch with Maître Louise CORDEAU, Chair of the Quebec Council on the Status of Women, who was the guest of honour of the Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights on International Women’s Day.
