Neutrality

The High Commissioner is a non-political, non-partisan body.
 
In order to protect this neutrality, the High Commissioner may not be a Member of the National Council, a Member of the Municipal Council or a Member of the Economic and Social Council, and may not hold an elected political position of any nature, whether in Monaco or abroad.
 
Furthermore, the High Commissioner may not hold any other position of public office or engage in any paid, professional or employed activity, whether in Monaco or abroad.
